The half capacitors is a weapon mod for the Gauss rifle in Fallout 4.

Half capacitors is the standard ammunition magazine for the Gauss rifle. When installed on a Gauss rifle it allows for a total of seven 2mm EC rounds to be loaded in the magazine.

Half capacitors can be found pre-attached to a Gauss rifle, alternatively it can be crafted at a weapons workbench where one has a Gauss rifle in their inventory.
