A gourd is a consumable item in Fallout 4.
Characteristics[]
Gourds can be planted and harvested for food at settlements. Gourds can also be used to feed the settlers, with each gourd plant providing 0.5 food.

- Five gourd plants in the backyard of the northwesternmost house in Concord.
- In Diamond City during Halloween (October 31st) as decorations mainly around the Power Noodles stand.
- Two gourds in the Drumlin Diner in Salem.
- At Easy City Downs, in a shopping cart.
- Three plants northwest of Fairline Hill Estates, Eleanor's location.
- One gourd at Forest Grove marsh, in the pub.
- Two gourd planters in the greenhouse at Graygarden.
- Two in Leonard Moore's garden between Hugo's Hole and the coastal cottage.
- 13 gourd plants at Nordhagen Beach.
- One plant at Parsons State Insane Asylum.

Notes[]
After completing Building a Better Crop, an abnormally large gourd will be growing in the patch at Warwick homestead, though it will only produce a normal gourd when harvested.
Bugs[]
- Sometimes, when planting a gourd, it can be placed in the harvest state already. This can lead to an infinite loop of planting and harvesting it.[verified]
- When removing a gourd, sometimes it disappears, but can still be seen in the workshop menu. Every attempt to move it causes the game to crash or lag.[verified]
- It seems to disappear after some time.
