Ginseng root is a consumable item in Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
A dark brown root harvested from a ginseng plant. It can be consumed raw to satisfy a small amount of hunger with a medium dose of radiation and chance for disease or can be cooked for additional benefits.
Blast zone[]
When affected by a blast zone, it will turn into nuka root, which will yield raw violet flux when harvested.

Behind the scenes[]
According to the removed Vault 94 terminal entries, ginseng root is a mutated form of the real-world plant Panax ginseng (Asian ginseng).[1]
