Gecko meat is a consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
Uncooked gecko meat, unlike all other forms of raw meat, results in a penalty to the player character's Strength even when not in hardcore mode. However, it does provide a relatively low amount of radiation and a small amount of restoration to Hit Points.
Gecko meat is also used as an ingredient in the gecko kebab and gecko steak recipes created at campfires.

It can be frequently found on the bodies of various types of geckos.
Bugs[]
The reduced Strength effect does not work if the game runs in hardcore mode, while every other raw meat in the game does this. [verified]
