Gazelles are creatures found in the Nuka-World amusement park in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka World.

Characteristics[]

Biology[]

The gazelle is the mutated version of the pre-War animal of the same name. After two centuries of exposure to radiation, the gazelle has mutated and grown one additional head and two additional legs, similar to radstags at the base of the left head's neck. The legs are too short to touch the ground and their eyes, if any, are not visible.

Gameplay attributes[]

The gazelle is usually found in a small herd of three to four rather than being alone. They can be found eating grass outside the Nuka-World park. They will run away as soon as they detect an enemy. It rarely attacks but instead uses its four legs to make a quick escape.

Notes[]

  • Turning the cloning machine in the Welcome Center back on after the quest Safari Adventure will spawn more gazelles around the park, especially in the Safari Adventure zone.
  • They will only attack the Sole Survivor if their legs are crippled and they are in melee range.
  • Killing these creatures does not count towards the achievement All Sugared Up.
  • The Cult of the Mothman in Appalachia have a fascination with antlered skulls, and one of their traditional totems is topped with an apparent gazelle skull. Gazelles have never been known to live in the region, but there aren't many of these totems in the game world, so the Cult could have plausibly acquired these skulls through exploration or trade.

Appearances[]

Gazelles appear only in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka World.
