For an overview of Gauss pistol-type weapons in the Fallout games, see Gauss Pistol. |
“Praised for its range and stopping power, the PPK12 Gauss Pistol is of German design. The pistol uses an electromagnetic field to propel rounds at tremendous speed and punch through almost any armor.”— Fallout 2 in-game description
The PPK12 Gauss pistol is a small gun in Fallout 2.
Characteristics
This is one of the most useful pistols in the game. The ammo is armor piercing and does high damage. It also costs 1 fewer AP to fire than many other weapons, which means six shots every round with Fast Shot, Bonus Rate of Fire, ten action points and 2 Action Boy ranks. It's actually better than most burst-fire weapons since it is accurate. Unfortunately, its ammo capacity is rather low, and 2mm EC is somewhat uncommon.
Locations
- Melchior on the fourth level of the Military Base guards a locker containing this weapon. It can sometimes be bought in San Francisco, and Enclave patrols may carry it.
- Red 888 Guns in San Francisco will stock Gauss pistols on occasion (along with Gauss rifles and 2mm EC).
