The garden terrace is a location in the Commonwealth in 2287.
Layout
It is the ruined remains of a once elegant roof-top terraced garden, with a fountain in the middle surrounded by dead grass, old standard lamps and damaged trees. The terrace is accessed through Haymarket Mall, and after accessing this location the Sole Survivor will be immediately assaulted by a leveled deathclaw.
On the northeast corner of the terrace there is a building that the deathclaw cannot enter. It is possible to drop down through this building or use an elevator to descend for some loot items. The monorail has crashed through this building on several floors. A steamer trunk can be found at the top of the building and an Advanced-locked safe at the bottom of the elevator buried in the floor rubble.
Near the entrance to the small building, there is scaffolding leading down. The monorail car can be accessed by walking across some planks connected to the scaffolding or by descending to the street below. The way down to the street is one way only, as the Sole Survivor must drop down to the lower section of the scaffolding. There is good loot in a steamer trunk and a leveled protectron is on board.
This is a location in Tinker Tom's Weathervane missions.
Notable loot
Stealth Boy - Found on the second floor of the apartment joined to this location. It can be accessed by walking out of the elevator while it is in motion or by going down the levels of the building through the holes in the floor.
Notes
This location can be discovered by traveling along the overpass above which is accessed from the Commonwealth Bank (via a walkway and then up) or from the Cambridge construction site.
Appearances
The garden terrace only appears in Fallout 4.
Bugs
When the deathclaw in this area respawns, it may be found hanging on the east side of the building between the two railings, paying no attention to the player's presence. [verified]
