Galaxy News Radio is a building in Washington, D.C. in the Capital Wasteland in 2287.

Background[]

The plaza used to be home to Three Dog, a DJ who hosted Galaxy News Radio and preached "the Good Fight" before vanishing under mysterious circumstances sometime after 2277. It was also the site of a Brotherhood of Steel outpost before being abandoned due to Three Dog's disappearance and the Brotherhood sending the bulk of its military forces to the Commonwealth.

At some point around 2287, after Three Dog's vanishing, a group inspired by his messages called the Good Fighters occupied the now empty station and continued to run it in a similar way that Three Dog did.

However, the Talon Company was hired by an unknown force to assault and occupy the plaza. Unbeknownst to the Good Fighters, the amnesiac woman they took in was secretly a spy for Talon Company. However, the spy had a change of heart and warned the Good Fighters about the impending attack. Eventually, Talon Company sieged the Plaza, and with no reinforcements coming, the Good Fighters lost control of the plaza and sought shelter in nearby buildings.

Eventually, with assistance from the Sole Survivor, the Good Fighters regrouped and took back the plaza from the Talon Company, but with the death of their leader, Phil Goodman, the remaining Good Fighters did not want to continue to occupy the plaza and chose to ally themselves with the Sole Survivor.
