The Crater may be fine now, but we need to look to the future. We must be more aggressive, more intimidating if we want to do more than just survive.
Perhaps a culling of the weak is what we need. Meg and the other don't need to know. If Lou disappeared, maybe he finally killed himself. Or Ra-Ra is just a child. Children get lost, and maybe Gail not only fails to find her, but fails to come back. Just first steps to weeding out the undesirables. The weak die all the time. This is no surprise. This plan could work.
