The Fun House is a location in Nuka-World in 2287.

Background[]

A classic fun house, this structure comprises a large maze designed to amuse park visitors before the Great War. In 2287, the attractions are lethal traps that test the resilience of those who find themselves within.

Layout[]

Through the entrance, to the left is a door chained from the other side, while to the right is the door to the hall of mirrors. The hall is trapped with frag mines and a laser tripwire, and is occupied by a feral ghoul and a radroach. A duffle bag filled with pre-War money, an ammo box, a dead raider, and a combat shotgun are found in the maze.

Next is the treadmill floor. Looking up, the Sole Survivor will catch a glimpse of Oswald the Outrageous behind a window on the second floor. Several frag grenades will drop from a hole in the ceiling as the player character approaches the wall with the window.

The flooded bottle jump room hosts two feral ghouls and the Novice-locked hypno halls controls terminal. The hypno halls consist of a dark maze with green spinning tunnels, with a pair of feral ghouls lurking near the end. Holes in the tunnel near the end of the maze will drop the player character into a flooded room next to the bottle jump room.

The topsy turvy room is the next challenge, a disorienting section where objects are attached to walls and ceilings to give the illusion that the player character is walking on the wall. A feral ghoul roams this room.

Next is the spinning room, a section with 13 doors and a floor that spins around. Several feral ghouls occupy the room. Behind one door, an Advanced-locked safe and a complete Giddyup Buttercup can be found with a Jangles the Moon Monkey and other toys.

Beyond the spinning room is the chained door leading back to the Fun House entrance, and a utility corridor leading to the control room containing the Fun House control system terminal and two beds. As soon as the player character enters the control room, Oswald the Outrageous disappears.

Notable loot[]

  • SCAV! issue #3 - In the hypno halls, in the dead end with the dead raider and caps stash.
  • Two Nuka-Cola Quantum - One is in the hypno halls, in the dead end with the dead raider and caps stash. The other is in the topsy turvy room, behind the door on the ceiling. The door is reachable with a jet pack, by jumping from the nearby red armchair, or by jumping when under the effects of Jet. More than 50 caps will also fall from the door, which is trapped from the inside with a grenade.
  • Fusion core and X-cell - In the topsy turvy room, in the restroom mirror on the ceiling.
  • Hidden Cappy clue - In the spinning room, behind the second door on the left from the entrance.
  • Nuka-Cade ticket roll -In the spinning room, behind the second door on the left from the entrance. It contains between 750 and 1000 tickets.
  • Nuka-Lixir recipe - In the control room, on the console next to the Fun House control system terminal.

The Fun House appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.

Behind the scenes[]

One of the rooms accessible from the spinning room contains a mannequin wielding a combat knife and a skeleton standing in the shower and shielding itself. This scene is a reference to the movie Psycho.
