Freki is one of Desmond Lockheart's two pet dogs, who reside in the Calvert Mansion in 2277.

One of Desmond's dog guards, Freki is a faithful companion, and one of the only living entities the old ghoul cares enough about. He has been with him for years and has battled with loyalty and obedience, traits Desmond demands.[Non-game 1]

Along with Geri, Freki patrols the foyer and the stairs of the mansion.

Much to the fury of Desmond, both the dogs are killed when the Calvert Mansion explodes during the quest Thought Control.

Freki appears only in the Fallout 3 add-on Point Lookout.
Behind the scenes[]
The names of the hounds are a reference to Norse mythology. Odin was often portrayed as having two wolf companions named Freki and Geri. Freki roughly translates to "greedy," and Geri translates to "ravenous."
