I went looking for the differences, numbers-wise, between the Shishkebab and Jingwei's Shocksword. According to their respective pages ( http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Shishkebab and http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Jingwei's_Shock_Sword ) the Shishkebab has an "in game" DAM of 40 +2/5sec but the Jingwei's Shocksword has an "in game" DAM of 35 +2/5sec. Otherwise they are identical damage-wise, ie. base dmg/hit: 35, crit % mult: x2 and AP: 28. However, they both have the same DPS: 80.
How can they have the same DPS if their "in game" DAM's are 5 pts. off from one another?
I assume their different item HP's have nothing to do with their damage, assuming they're both in the same condition. Yes?
Another thing sorta unrelated, the Shishkebab lists its damage type as "Melee, Fire", but the Jingwei's Shocksword only lists its damage type as "Melee". Shouldn't it list the addition of electricity or perhaps EMP like The Shocker does? ( http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/The_Shocker )
One final thing (I can hear your sighs of relief), but what is the meaning of the Shishkebab's item HP's additional parenthetical "938 max" after its regular listing of 750? Is this related to it being a custom weapon and subject to the number of schematics the character had when s/he made it?
Thanks for your time and patience,
