I often stop on the world map for the heck of it, and he will appear in non hostile situations, I've even had him appear in encounters with Caravans. I often stop in random places, to simply steal his ammo. I wanted to update the wiki page with this info, but I wanted to post here and ask for some confirmation from others first. (or someone else can update the page, I'm not that worried about it.) I posted on the talk page for the Mysterious Stranger, but haven't seen any replies or notice of it. I'm not sure if this is the case in Fallout 1 or not, as I haven't played that one in years. |

So on the wiki here it states that you can only encounter the Mysterious Stranger in a hostile random encounter. But I know this simply to not be true. I often stop on the world map for the heck of it, and he will appear in non hostile situations, I've even had him appear in encounters with Caravans.
