Okay, what are the most valueable items in new vegas? I would assume we're counting DLC so gold bars from Dead Money would probably be up there. Also I believe Elijah's Jury Rigged Tesla Cannon is extremely valueable fully repaired. Let's count weapons, apparel, aid items, and misc items. Not ammo because there's so few that are rare and most aren't very valueable.

I think he is talking about the most valuable in terms of its usefullness, not cost-wise. If im wrong, then yes, it is Fully Modded Red Glare

Just had Sato repair Red Glare, 46,489 caps. It is a waste of money IMNSHO. The SMMG is 37,745 caps but fires so slow it is hardly any better than the 12.7 SMG. My experience is the most powerful weapon without GRA is modded gatling laser with Max Charge and all the energy weapon perks. The most valuable to me using a guns character--because I use it for everything but close combat--is Christine's COS silenced rifle, a bargain at ~6,100 caps. GRPeng 23:27, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

I meant most valueable as in caps wise, and the reason I meant was for quick ways to get caps. I was just wanting a list of items I could go look for/do some quests for that I could sell for quick caps. Not like mods or weapons with mods. like elijah's jury rigged tesla cannon is in a cave in OWB and is pretty valueable. But to be more specific I'm looking for non-rare items, in which there are more than one. So I probably should of titled this most valueable non-rare items in new vegas. I'm just looking for a rough list of things I should search for.

okay, sorry for thinking wrong. If you need caps, go stealth kill veteran rangers at Camp Golf. Its easy, and they respawn after a while. Since their armors it self are worth roughly 8000 caps, there is plenty of money with just one trip. If you need a good stealth kill weapon, use a ballistic fist. Save before you do it. There are lots of ways to make money. Killing the Rangers is a good tip. If you got banned from the casino in Dead Money, use SM chips for Weapon repair kits from the Vending machine in the Abandoned BoS to fix their guns to 99% and then sell. Gun Runners usually has ~25k worth of weightless upgrades plus 8k in caps over L30. Make the rounds of the other merchants and sell the upgrades off. If you are vilified by one faction, the hit squads (only appear if you are wearing non-faction armor) usually have ~25k worth of weapons if you repair them. Super mutants weapons can be valuable too: NE of Ranger Station Bravo, Black Mountain, Black Rock Cave, Jack Rabbit Springs, and the Nightkin that kills the brahmin in Novac. These all respawn. If you have 7 luck or better, learn the 8-10-K Caravan strategy. Buy everything a vendor has (or until they have 1.3x the caps you have) then win all the caps back.
