Overview[]

I've been working through a lot of the item articles lately and the format of the locations section differs between the pages, making it inconsistent for reading purposes. The main areas are:

  • Significant/insignificant quantities
  • Listing order
  • Words/numerals

My initial thinking is that the policy should read as thus:

Locations where this item can be found (fixed locations only, no random spawns). These should be split by variant with a subtitle (where required) then list by:

  1. Base game DLC
  2. DLC - Place the {{Icon}} template at the start of each new line (e.g. * {{Icon|FO4NW|link=Nuka-World (add-on)}}Three can be found on shelves in the garage at the end of [[Bradberton Amphitheater]] in [[Nuka-Town USA]].
  3. Quantity - List from the highest to lowest in written/numerical form.
  4. Location - List locations in alphabetical order.
    • Sub location - List these in quantity order, with a brief description of where they can be found

Listed quantities should be considered notable. Use the {{Notable content}} template for long lists.

Example[]

Ashtray[]

Found on work desks, usually with a cigarette resting on it.

Dirty ashtray[]

Unused ashtray[]

Considerations[]

  • Worded lists is more academic, but could make lists inaccessible at exceptional quantities.
  • Item vendors - Should these be included? If so where should they be in the section? (IMO the ideal location would be at the top of the section).
  • Do we include console command only locations?
