Which level are you and how many caps do you have? I'm level 10 and I have like 10,000 caps even with 20-25 Barter Skill. --SuperMutantBrute 13:57, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm up to just over 30k on level 20 (and have been for ages, thank God Broken Steel!). Having a house in Megaton, I have a stockpile of gear but cant find enough people to sell it all too. Is there a hidden achievement on getting so many caps? Does anyone know of a decent place to find traders with decent cash for 50+ Raider costumes? Sulfate 14:57, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

About 22k at level 20. With Broken Steel, though, I could probably up that significantly if I wanted to patiently loot everything I came across. There is a lot of Enclave power armor and energy weapons to pick up, not to mention the new side quests.Imp of the Perverse 06:06, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

At level 27 and have around 80,000 caps, about 30 suits of various power armor in 100% condition, about 20 Laser/Plasma Rifles in 100% condition (and other assorted weaponry). All the people in Big Town are decked out in Tesla Armor with Laser/Plasma Pistols. All the standard caravans are equipped with Power Armor and most of them have Laser/Plasma Pistols too. My fridge is overflowing with food, drugs and water, 300+ Stimpacks, about 30 cartons of cigarettes. Now that the water deliveries are happening I'm starting to deck out the Rivet City guards with Power Armor as well. Because of the Pitt DLC I have around 35,000 rounds of 5.56mm ammo. However I use the Gauss Rifle all the time and with that I currently have around 5 and a half thousand Microfusion Cells. Yeah it kind of sucked. In addition to the caps, I've got 480 stimpacks, 100+ stealthboys, and a couple of storage lockers so full of loot that the game lags for a second every time I add another item. Shortly into a BS sidequest I almost immediately got loaded down with looted power armor, so I decided I could finally just start playing it like it's Halo and only loot ammo. I got about 60,000 to 90,000 caps in one or two weeks. I would have so much more except I literally create a new game every week and don't concentrate on earning caps. I do this because I'm trying to get the best character I possibly can, such as having a character with so and so perks, 100% skills, the highest possible S.P.E.C.I.A.L, AND all enemies as powerful as they can possibly be. This would be fairly easy but I allways run into complications, such as the Damagage Resistance glitch with the Nuclear Abnormaly Perk.kill the overseer!

I am level 26 or 27 and have about 8k, I cant find any traders that have enough to clean out my locker and I think the roaving traders have become glitched, I can only find the doctor near Rivet City.

at around 50 hours i usually have about 40K caps, but that's not accounting for the all the gear i have stashed in my house... it takes a good 2 minutes to scroll through everything in my safe(i mean scrolling, not stopping to look at each item =-p) at a certain point... let's say 10K caps, i really only spend caps on ammo and stimpacks(which i rarely ever use) everything else goes into the safe! 12K Level 19. Got it a week ago, farmed Enclave Armor by the Jefferson Memorial. I used Fawkes as mobile armor storage and made about 1K per run.asdf

Lvl 30 about 30k pure cap, but i never give anyone any armour unless it's follower, so i have 260 ish suits of various power armour, 400 pounds of aqua pura, over 50 laser/plasma rifles..on and on and on... so all in all if i sold it, i'd have upwards of 250-300k caps.

I'll spare you a cap or two Nitty. Anywhos, I only have around 5k caps at the moment, at level 25, but I suppose it is because I never sell anything... My lockers in Megaton lag like hell every time I open them to put more stuff in. I have 23 100% laser rifles, 25 100% plasma rifles, 20 100% Chinese assault rifles, etc. etc. etc. and dozens of Tesla, Enclave, BOS, and Hellfire armors... surprisingly, I have very few Outcast armors, and I usually kill those guys on sight... I should probably sell some of my stuff, but none of the vendors ever has enough caps. I take them like 10 laser rifles, and then take all the caps they have, all their stimpacks, all their ammo, and it is still an uneven trade... Ah well. I'm in the same boat as a lot of you guys/gals, Level 20, 35k caps and enough gear to kit out an entire army. I thought I'd exhausted all the cap supplies from traders etc but I tried a little experiment (while I'm waiting for BS DLC). There are about 38 people who you can buy and sell from in the wasteland, (excluding roving traders/scavengers). A lot of which I completely forgot, Karl at the family for example. Sydney @ underworld is now my first point of call for ammo (especially magnum rounds). Pronto in paradise is good if you've expanded his inventory, and I often find myself selling off gear to doctors & barman too. I emptied nearly all my gear on one trip round to every person who had caps. 38 people to trade with, I'm sure you'll shift your gear, Even Grandma Sparkle. --Lugnut's Leftnut 10:53, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

I've been hovering around about 5500 caps at level 20 but I only have about 70 hours of gameplay. I've been making very little caps lately because I've been exploring the map (have 131 locations on the vanilla game) and haven't just been taking out enclave troopsw for more high tech gear. once I get the rest of the location my next goal is to outfit every named and friendly npc in enclave power armor/tesla armor and either high level small arms or energy weapons so that I won't get bored.Njiord 17:06, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

I have 21,560 caps and I collect Power armor,big guns,any part to any gun or weapon you can make,unique weapons(BB guns,Lincoln's Repeater, and the Xuanlong),combat armor,shiny objects,lawn gnomes,basketballs,pool cues,Lincoln thingies,melee weapons,any form of clothing that is hard to find, energy weapons,Enclave tech,carrots,rippers,stimpaks(I have 600),food,booze,Nuka Cola,Quantum,unique weapons,Rare drugs like wine and berry mentats, mutilated skulls,fingers,pre war cash,Yao Gaui meat,Lying,congressional style,gatling lasers(I have five!!),mini nukes,instamash, and vault apparel,to which I own every kind of.
