For NCR here, proposing an idea to remove the FO1-2 image quotes from the Notable Quote sections and replace them within the gallery of the page.

Improvement

As you can see by this example, Marcus has his reaction images constantly appearing throughout his page to show you what face he expresses when speaking said quote in-game. As you can also see, this image is repeated very often for his other quotes, only for the sake of what he looks like under dialogue.

Marcus isn't the only one. Throughout all the pages that feature Fallout's 1 and 2's signature "talking heads", this continuous repeating of images is used, making the page bulkier than what it could and should be.

The question I wish for you to answer is:

1. Do we need to see every reaction despite it taking up unneeded room per page?

2. Couldn't we just post these reaction images inside the page's Gallery?

I propose that we aim to make our Fallout 1&2 quotes appear more akin to our current method, which we apply in our Fallout 3 and New Vegas pages, as seen above.

Don't worry, we will still be able to view the reaction images, but it will merely be moved to the Gallery along side with other images. User ncr A Safe People is a Strong People! 03:36, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

I agree. It would look better to have the FO1/FO2 notable quotes look like the FO3/NV ones as it makes the page tidier. Moving the emotion images to the gallery means that we can still see what their emotions look like without cluttering up the page. As a member of the brainstorming group in chat at the time of this forum's creation, I support the movement of the facial expressions to the gallery and the conversion of the notable quotes sections to the same format the Fo3 and NV notable quotes sections use. --The Ever Ruler (talk) 03:39, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

Just so everyone can have an example, I have made how Marcus's page would look under this system (here). I would also suggest that we note what emotion the images represent as a caption (I would have done that here, but I wasn't sure what emotion was what). As I see it, the quotes for reactions are purely aesthetical. It is not really needed, and if it shows a difference in reaction, one could hear the tone instead. So yeah, if there is not much opposition, the quotes could be moved to Notable Quotes section. Energy X 21:43, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

Slims down the page and makes it more in line with the newer pages, there's barely a difference in the reaction images (even less when they are scaled down on the page). So, I think it would be best to switch over to text only. -- MHsig Watch in awe! 03:08, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Wouldn't it just make more sense to just make it a vid? I mean, the picture made sense before the audio player part. But now it just seems kinda silly to show stills from a video, and have the audio. Dulogo Digital Utopia (talk) 11:42, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Interesting suggestion. I still prefer using the F3/FNV method but should the community prefer having the pictures I think this would be a good change. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 11:48, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
