Maps[]

this is probably in the wrong section, but after viewing the oblivion wiki, it occured to me that we do not have nearly as comprehensive maps for locations as it does, over in the oblivion wiki, they have maps for each level of a location that denotes enemies, minor loot, and major "boss level" loot, and while I don't think fallout 3 generates loot the same way oblivion does, it might still be worth looking into. --Katikar 17:16, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

I agree our maps could be much better; in general the location pages are a bit our weak spot. The Fallout 3 locations project was supposed to cover this, but it has more or less died away unfortunately. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:07, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Videos[]

another thing worth including would be the Orcidia video for each item on the corisponding page, this person(?) has over 300 video's, almost all of them related to fallout items, locations, unique items, or walkthroughs, yet i have only found maybe 4 or 5 pages with the related video. just a few things to think about. --Katikar 17:16, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well, there were quite a few discussions about videos in the past. Originally, most of the videos you suggested actually were present in the articles. There's quite a number of people who dislike that though due to the fact that they inspire people to change the videos back and forth repeatedly ("video warring", if you want), and that embedded videos cause general sluggish browser behaviour. Plus there was concern that a lot of videos are basically "telling your personal story" in visual form, and if we don't allow it in text form we shouldn't allow it in videos either. In the end we opted to only keep the videos for hard-to-find items. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:07, May 19, 2010 (UTC)
well, naturally we would only want helpful videos, wile i have seen interesting "story vids" they, by their very nature, contribute nothing to the article, but perhapse to avoid "video warring" as you said, the vault could set up its own youtube page which would use user-submitted videos that could be reviewed to see if they contribute something, then added to the corisponding articleKatikar 18:34, May 19, 2010 (UTC)
