These aren't my words I just copypasta give credit to the original poster. I found this very helpful in a general way. If you're having issues this concise thread will point you in the right direction. Also is there anyway to sticky this? I think it should be kept at the top of the forum.Cpanda 18:31, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

I am going to use this forum to answer a few common questions and concerns about the game without the need to post on the forum. I will try keep this close to the top of the forum list. And I play on PS3, I wouldn't know about mods or console commands; if you do, I would really appreciate it if you posted your ID on this forum so you can help some people. 1- To anything that is to do with going on after the game, finishing something after main quest, etc. IT WON'T WORK. There is no thing that isn't a mod that would allow you to play after the hoover dam battle. No DLC, no patches. If you want to play for eternity, than don't start the final mission at hoover dam. As for mods, I wouldn't be the one to tell you.

2- Doing something you didn't want to do and wanting to fix it (especially on console). If you can't reload a save, there isn't anything you can do. Whats done is done. And for those of you have access to console commands, there is an entire list of commands for Fallout:New Vegas here.

3- Bugs/ glitches with quests or compainions. First read the page for that quest/person/place. Usually there is something you can do to fix it. If the bug isn't listed than it means that most likely it is something wrong with your specific playthrough. Which means that you should try reloading from a previous save, if you can. If not, then there isn't much you can do. With console commands then look at the wiki page to see if there is something you can do.

4- Questions about which armour, weapons, perks, etc to use. Most of this should be based on your personal preferences. Before you post, look in this forum and general forum about this, usally there is something already written about anything to do with those things.

5- DLC bugs like not being able to play them can usually be attributed to an incomplete or bugged download. On console not much can go wrong. As for computer users a whole lot can happen. You want to follow all instructions given when downloading. If a bug like that does occur then all you can do is either restart your playthrough and if that doesn't fix it than you should try uninstalling and re-downloading the DLC.

I will try to post more of these basic answers as time goes by and I notice more. Please do not post comments on this unless you want to volenteer to help people who have console commands, GECK, or other related problems. If you think that there are any more issues, post them right under number 5. Hopefully this will help clear up some of the confusion involving the game 18:26, June 14, 2011 (UTC) 1
