Katy, Have You Met Your Requirements?
I Have made at least 2000 edits in the main, category, module, file, or template namespace. I have gone past this number, though I will say the majority of my edits, barring recently, are usually on longer projects that don't require as many edits (such as page revamps and reference writing). Check out Porter Gage or Fahrenheit to see an example of some work I'm really proud of!
I have been continuously active at this wiki for at least three months. I have been regularly active on the wiki and discord for about 9 months, and have been lurking here since June of 2019.
I have not made a failed administrator/sysop request in the past two months. I have not made any administrative request on Nukapedia before, but I am activley a chat moderator (that vote passing with 27 yes votes, 0 no votes, and 2 neutrals)(Verify) and am a bureaucrat on the Fallout Roleplaying and Fanon Wiki, which I have been helping to rebuild and set standards and policies for that match Nukapedia's as a sister wiki.
I have held the position of patroller for a minimum of two months. I have been a patroller for about 3 months and a chat moderator for about 4 months.(Verify) I may not have held these positions for years, but I am confident that I am ready for the next step.
I have not been site-blocked or chat-banned for a period of at least three months. In fact, I have never been blocked, banned, or kicked from the Wiki or any of its affiliate services at all, and I have helped cool down arguments in the Discord server more than once, as well as been the only active chat moderator on multiple occasions.
What Makes You Stand Out As An Admin?
As I mentioned above, I work in the Real World™ as an x-ray technologist, and one of my responsibilities is teaching students who come to the facility I work at for clinical rotations. At the risk of sounding way too full of myself, I'll share that under my supervision, the students I've had the honor to work with have successfully completed more required exams than the rest of their peers in class and have established friendly, professional relationships with them. How does this have anything to do with an adminship position? A great question. To me, it means I can successfully communicate with and teach others, even in stressful situations, all while being kind and building relationships with those around me. This is important to me, as I genuinely love being able to help people.
I have worked on big projects such as the BTS speculation removal project, uploading pictures of the backs of some outfits from fallout 4, adding references to long-reference-less articles (such as Porter Gage, Doctor Duff, Fahrenheit, and Desdemona).
I come from a chat moderator background, which is something this community does not have in any regularly active admins. I am in touch with the active community that we have and I want to be an advocate for them. Additionally, this would give me a bit more control over features on Discord that I could use to benefit the community, such as giving descriptions to the channels, pausing channels when all hell breaks loose, and being able to manage more roles and help with opening channels such as the meeting hall.
I am in the middle of creating an official Vault Academy chat moderator program! I think an admin position would help me have more control over the pages after a student's graduation. I am incredibly excited about the potential of helping these new chat mods and members of the community to learn more about our community, how to use Discord, how to vote, and some abridged general editing.
In Closing
I appreciate everyone here and the time they have taken to consider my application.I look forward to everyone's feedback and hope to see you around the Wiki! Katy Webb A better future, underground!

- Thank you, my fellow Nukapedians, who have come so far to answer the call to service put forth by the wiki. It is for you that I have come here, and it is because of you that I am able to do so. We enjoy our privileges because you take the greatest of risks and are prepared to make the most noble of sacrifices. It is because of editors like Katy Webb that Nukapedia remains free and secure. Born in a tin shack on the outskirts of Ohio, Katy Webb never had it easy. Her father worked as a caravan guard on Interstate 70, and her mother, like many Ohioans, braved the ruins of the Cleveland as a prospector. They suffered through water shortages, attacks from Pitt raiders, and the Gary Indiana War. Like our mighty Discussion Boards, they endured.
- But the time came when they could no longer shoulder the burden alone. One year ago, Katy's predecessor met with representatives of the Dataminers to discuss terms of what would become the Datapedian Unification Treaty. The treaty was more than a resolution to welcome the Dataminers into the fold. It was a covenant to protect Nukapedia against the tyranny of the V*ult remnants. There are some back home who ask me, "But who are we protecting? What is Nukapedia to us?" Sometimes we forget that the light of our society shines beyond our borders. Sometimes we take those privileges for granted that our forebears fought so hard to achieve. We must always remember that wherever Nukapedians stand, we carry our principles with us: equal respect, representation, and protection under the laws of a just community.
- This was the same fire that burned in the heart of those who preceded us. We are the heirs of that civilization, torchbearers of editors before us, into the darkness of this wasted land. When the editors hiding in the shadows called on us to carry that fire across the wiki, Katy Webb answered, you answered. Together, you carried the weight. And when we came under attack, she was prepared to make the most noble of sacrifices, to defend the principles of our wiki. Her actions are a beacon to all of us who stand here today in tribute. Chat moderator, patroller, and Nukapedian Katy Webb, on behalf of myself and perhaps likely other Nukapedians, it is my honor to present you with this Yes Vote.
- Not far from this spot, a monument stands as a tribute to the sacrifice made by those who came before us, those who fulfilled the promise we made to the Dataminers. Six months ago, we held the wiki against the onslaught. Six months ago, we carried the weight. Six months ago, we drew a line through Fandom as clear as the Ohio River, a line that V*ult remnants cannot cross. Today, Katy stands here with our community to hold that line. Today, she honors all Nukapedians by carrying that weight. She is the great light of Nukapedia, torchbearer in the darkness, a living reminder of all that is best in our community! Thank you. Thank you. Okay, let's get the flup out of here. What the hell are you waiting for? You think I want to get shot? Let's go! - kdarrow take her for a spin! 05:46, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

- 1000% yes. Katy has been one of the most active and engaging members of this community for quite some time and her enthusiasm knows no bounds. As chat moderator, she has shown nothing but kindness and positivity to both old and new users, and excellent skill in resolving conflicts and handling user misconduct appropriately. Her posts in /d are always of high quality and very fun to read. She has also taken on many ambitious projects, making big steps towards improving the wiki as a whole. I am very excited to see Katy rising through the ranks and have no doubt that trusting her with admin rights is an excellent decision. The Appalachian 07:52, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

- You know what? I've changed my mind over these past few days. I felt that my judgement was unfair and hasty. Unlike the others I hadn't actually given you a chance. Well, as I said before, there are a lot of names of people on this yes list who I know can spot a good fit for a position when they see one, as well as being good judges of character, so I'm going to stop being cagey and just go for it this time. TechnoCrusader (talk) 03:45, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Well suited in social interactions, and an overall friendly and helpful person. Good editing skills, and I am confident that she will further improve them on the go. So yes it is. –FindabairThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 07:05, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- Not exactly here in a timely fashion, but it does not look like there's room for much doubt from the community. While Katy and I do not always see eye to eye on every single instance of moderation, I have never had an interaction with her where a disagreement could not be discussed reasonably, whether or not an in the moment agreement is found. I believe Katy wants what is best for the wiki, is willing to discuss differences in opinion, and she has been active across multiple facets of the wiki. - I read this last night, and I originally wasn't going to vote at all. If I was going to vote, it would have been neutral. I find your response to my recent forum discussion to be laced with negative energy and a barrage of insults, conduct unbecoming of a hopeful administrator. In that case, I consider it a disservice to this wiki to hold my tongue when dealing with such dangerous individuals. It's a no from me. - Sigmund Fraud Talk Contributions 22:24, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- (EDIT) Furthermore, rather than discuss said forum like a rational human being, you doubled down and drag my name through the mud on the post I made in Discussions (https://fallout.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003528864) where I neutrally advertised said forum. If you have nothing better to do than insult and degrade other users simply because they bring forward serious, hitherto level-headed discussions about the state of this wiki, then you definitely do not deserve admin rights. You don't deserve any rights. - Sigmund Fraud Talk Contributions 23:06, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

Please sign your posts with ~~~~!No edits or /d posts prior to start of vote. The Appalachian 17:42, 20 October 2021 (UTC)I'm going to abstain this time. I don't know you all that well but from the content of your application and the good words of others, some of whom I know to be able to spot a decent person and a good fit when they see one, I know that you will go far, regardless. However, I felt your recent comment on Discussions, however factually correct and veracious it was, to be slightly unbecoming of a potential applicant or even an acting admin. I agreed with what you said wholeheartedly, however my objections are over how it was presented, because I believe admins should be conscious of upholding a certain standard and example for the rest of the community. That was not a good example. I'm not going to vote no because it's outshone by your other deeds, capabilities and potential, but I can't in good conscience vote yes. I hope you understand. In the interest of providing full context to Sigmund's "no" vote, a few minutes before he voted I responded to a discussion post he made about a forum he was starting on the subject of limiting the use of permanent bans by pointing out various instances of him, during his tenure as a Chat Moderator, expounding his desire to discuss and post NSFW content in direct opposition to the rules of both Nukapedia and Fandom. The screenshots in question can be seen here:
I would like to make it clear that I do not see Sigmund Fraud as an enemy, nor have I ever. In fact, I felt as though we were on good terms when I had first joined the server - but his contrarian behavior toward me and my actions ever since I first received my chat moderator role is very hurtful, and to have him twist my words like this, while not mentioning his own behavior as clearly demonstrated above, is unfounded.
I will kindly ask that no one attack Sigmund here, as that is not something I would ever want and it is not the purpose of this forum. I simply wanted to clear the air.

- In the interest of providing slightly fuller context to the vote and its response, here is Katy's exact wording. Visible in the link, but if Katy feels it's necessary to directly post the screenshots here, than so must be the case for me.
I would not say I have ever held ill will towards Katy until very recently. I still believe she is a fine editor, but I did not approve of some of her actions as chat mod and I still do not believe she would be suitable in either an admin or mod position. I do not wish to attack anyone. I am only acting defensively in accordance with jabs levelled at me. - Sigmund Fraud Talk Contributions 00:38, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
