For the mentioned-only location in Lonesome Road, see Fort Abandon. |
The following is based on Van Buren design documents and is not canon. |
Fort Abandon,[1] originally known as Fort Aradesh, is a destroyed military base that belonged to the New California Republic Army.
Background[]
A major fortification located in the American southwest, the Fort was destroyed by Caesar's Legion's forces, reducing the Republic's control over the frontier. The name Fort Abandon was applied to it after the NCR withdrew its forces from the region. If the player character so chose, they could slowly upgrade the fort into a center of prosperity. Additionally, Trig would have asked the player character to acquire capacitors from the fort.
Appearances[]
Fort Abandon was planned to appear in the canceled Fallout 3 project by Black Isle Studios codenamed Van Buren. A canonized version of Fort Abandon is mentioned in Lonesome Road.
