Followers doctors are physicians and scientists within the Followers of the Apocalypse in the Mojave Wasteland.
Background
The doctors within the Followers of the Apocalypse have multi-faceted and versatile roles throughout the wasteland, outside of diagnosing ailments and treating injuries. The doctors act as administrators, organizing the coverage of their peers' assignments, taking care of logistics and coordinating with other checkpoints and locations. They devise clever ways of gaining medical and technical knowledge.
They oversee donations, keep records and act as liaisons with the groups they come in contact with. They travel to resupply satellite locations with medical supplies and coordinate refugee relief efforts.
Other doctors serve as research scientists or travel to study a wide variety of topics, such as tribal dialects and culture. Some Followers doctors are likewise individuals of faith, providing spiritual care and guidance to those in need.
Those who focus on research spend time honing their skills and knowledge of medicine, cultivation and plant husbandry, alternative energy, and human longevity.
Those that do provide medical services are versatile, trained in multiple disciplines, including surgery and psychiatry. They act as merchants, buying and selling medical supplies. Followers doctors are also adept teachers, training medical students, who in turn assist the doctors with the general upkeep of their facilities.
Locations
The doctors within the Followers of the Apocalypse can be found throughout the Mojave, including at the Old Mormon Fort, Follower's outpost and safehouse, on the New Vegas Strip, in the Aerotech Office Park, at HELIOS One, and within the New Vegas medical clinic.
