A raider with the submachine gun in "The End"

After the Vault 32 dwellers are revealed to have been raiders from the surface, some of the raiders use the folding stock submachine gun against the Vault 33 dwellers. A bald raider who takes a bite out of Lucy's wedding cake is shown wielding one. Later, a shirtless raider fires the gun off in a Vault 33 dweller's mouth in front of Woody Thomas and then fires it off at two other Vault 33 dwellers who tried to deliver more food to the wedding reception. As Woody tries to flee the scene and cuts through a classroom, a raider is shown wielding the weapon as he guides the raider leader Lee Moldaver down a hallway.

Meanwhile, Lucy was accosted by the bald raider who pointed the weapon at her, but a brave Vault 33 dweller kicked the gun away and tackled him to the ground. Once the bald raider gets back up, another raider accidentally slices open his abdomen with an axe, causing him to shoot at the Vault's projector.

Crouching by her dead husband's corpse, Steph Harper, in a fit of rage, attacks a raider wielding the folding stock submachine gun. In the process of this, the raider slams Steph's head into a picnic table, causing a fork to get jammed into her right eye, and when he regains control of herself, she starts shooting at the raiders.

When Hank MacLean and his daughter Lucy check the intervault door, one of Moldaver's raiders is seen wielding a folding stock submachine gun.

Behind the scenes[]

According to firearm historian Jonathan Ferguson, the gun used in the show is Sterling Mark 4.[1]

Notes[]

In the Fallout 2d20: NPC Pack - Hollywood Heroes expansion for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game, the submachine gun used during the attack on Vault 33 is erroneously identified as the Sten gun, which makes a brief appearance elsewhere in the series (but not in any of the vaults).[2][3]
