Hey der, I'm Flick. What the fuck do you want, huh?

Flick is the owner of a general store in the Den West Side in 2241.

Background

Flick is an unclean fellow with a nasty facial-twitch.[1] A shady character with an Italian accent, Flick fancies himself a philanthropist, helping the impoverished children of the Den by putting them to work as pickpocketers in return for some shelter and food. He is a rude and unpleasant person, though the amount of goods he amassed during his career as a caretaker make him a mandatory stop for anyone looking for new stuff to buy or just to take them back.

Interactions with the player character

Interactions overview

Interactions
FO76 ui trading team
This character is a merchant. Sells: weapons, ammo and random supplies

Other interactions

  • Attacking / killing Flick will not turn the Den's residents hostile.
  • Items stolen from the Chosen One's inventory by any of the pickpocketing children around the Den have a high chance of showing up for sale in Flick's shop inventory, and can be repurchased or looted off Flick's body. In earlier, unpatched versions of the game, these items would continue to be delivered to Flick's (and possibly Tubby's) corpse. In this case, they could be retrieved easily and repeatedly without cost.

Inventory

Notes

  • Stuff that Flick is offering for sale cannot be pickpocketed; instead, his inventory can only be accessed by looting his body. Some of his merchandise, for instance, a .44 revolver and a hunting rifle, are decent weapons in early parts of the game yet pretty expensive to acquire through conventional trading at that point.
  • Flick is quite an easy target to defeat. Therefore, killing him and looting his inventory can be quite a good option, especially for new players. In addition, killing Flick awards 5 points of Karma.

Appearances

Flick appears only in Fallout 2.
