Flame of the Ancient World, also known as Dark, Deserted, Dangerous. is an ambient music track composed by Mark Morgan for the Fallout soundtrack. The track is available as a part of the Vault Archives compilation.
Notes[]
For its use in Fallout: New Vegas, the soundtrack was renamed "Dark, Deserted, Dangerous" and listed as an original game soundtrack, despite not having been composed for the game.
Appearances[]
Flame of the Ancient World appears in Fallout, it plays while the Vault Dweller is in the Los Angeles Vault.
It is re-used in Fallout: New Vegas, playing at the Silver Rush and the tribal village. In Honest Hearts, it plays at Angel cave. In Lonesome Road, it plays during the Courier's stay in the Hopeville missile silo bunker and at the collapsed overpass tunnel.
This song also plays in the Fallout: A GURPS Post-Nuclear Adventure preview, and Many Contrasts in Fallout 2 has drum beats that sound similar, but faster.
