Fizztop Mountain is a location in Nuka-World in 2287.
Background[]
Fizztop Mountain is one of the oldest and most recognizable landmarks in the park. Standing at over 100 meters tall, it provides an excellent view of the surrounding area, making it a natural stronghold. At the top of the structure is the Fizztop Grille, the most expensive fine dining restaurant in the park before the Great War.[1][2] The Grille was converted into living quarters for the Overboss, while the interior of the hollow artificial structure, originally intended to be used for maintenance staff, serves as the base of operations for Nisha and her Disciples as of 2287.
Layout[]
The mountain is the heart of the northern section of Nuka-Town USA. The side entrance to the east leads into the mountain proper and directly to the lair of the Disciples. The decorations added by the vicious raiders include wooden structures, cages, prisoners, bloody human remains, and miscellaneous raider decor.
The cavern consists of a network of steel beams, metal ramps, and wooden shacks serving as living quarters for the Disciples. The ground level has little to offer except a shack near the entrance, a sleeping area with seven mattresses around the central pillar to the northwest, and plenty of seating. The metal ramp behind the shack leads up to another shack on the second level. Another ramp nearby finally ascends to the top level, which features five open holding cages and Nisha's shack with her Expert-locked terminal.
On the concrete roof above Nisha's shack is a campfire, behind which is a lunch pail and some food. Hidden on the northeast ledge of the top level behind and just below the campfire area is a skeleton next to a duffle bag and a Cappy statue.
Inhabitants[]
Notable loot[]
- Dixie's souvenirs - On the second level, in the shack.
- Nuka-Cola Victory and a Nuka-Cola Quartz - On the ground level, in the sleeping area to the northwest.
- Nuka-Cola Wild - On the ground level, on the picnic table next to the Disciples terminal to the northeast.
- Nuka-Grape - On the ramp leading up to the second level, on a wooden crate with a lit lantern.
- Nuka-Cola Orange - On the top level, on the table next to Nisha's terminal.
- Perfectly preserved pie - Above the entrance, held by a Jangles the Moon Monkey on a destroyed toilet. Can be reached by dropping down from the long steel beam above that extends next to the ramp leading up to Nisha's shack.
- Disciples banded helmet - Worn by Dixie.
- Disciples bladed helmet - Worn by Nisha.
- Disciples spiked helmet - Worn by Savoy.
- Fragmentation grenade MIRV - Held by Nisha.
- Instigating Disciples blade - Given by Nisha for completing Power Play if the Disciples do not betray the player character.
Notes[]
- Beneath the ramp leading up to Nisha's shack, a toy alien with a magnifying glass appears to be viewing a hollowed-out TV set containing tiny picket fencing and mannequins framed by a miniature rose bush.
- A small cache of loot and chems (comprising three caps stashes, two jet, a stimpak, and two wooden blocks spelling "GJ") can be found at the end of the long steel beam that extends next to the ramp leading up to Nisha's shack. Most of the items in the stash are clipped into the geometry of the wall and inaccessible unless jarred loose by explosives.
- The toilet above the entrance with the Jangles the Moon Monkey holding the perfectly preserved pie has the same pinkish hue as the food paste found in the Suffolk County Charter School.
Appearances[]
Fizztop Mountain appears in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World. It is also mentioned in the Fallout 76 update Nuka-World on Tour.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
There is a miniature figure next to the campfire on the concrete roof above Nisha's shack. It is a cultural reference to Han Solo frozen in carbonite in the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Furthermore, when damaged, the figure bleeds.[4]
