Detailed walkthrough[]
Miles wants to repair Adytum's hydroponic farms in an attempt to help move its people away from being so heavily dependent upon trading with outsiders. This effort was stalled, as the crucial parts needed to repair the farms never arrived, due to the courier who was going to deliver them being ambushed by deathclaws.
Miles can send the Vault Dweller to Sammael, a local scavenger, who hints at the parts being lost at a nearby deathclaw infested warehouse. At the northeastern section of the warehouse, the required parts can be looted from the courier's remains, which will then need to be brought back to Miles, who sends them to Smitty for fixing, and then back to the chemist in order to finish the quest.
Rewards[]
- Six stimpaks
- 250 bottle caps
- Smitty will upgrade one plasma rifle into a turbo plasma rifle.
- Miles will upgrade one set of T-51b power armor into hardened power armor.
Notes[]
Although Miles requests this specific set of junk, any junk can be used to complete the quest.
Bugs[]
- The merchant's body may not appear, although it is not necessary towards the completion of this quest as the parts required will still show up on the same sidewalk.[verification needed]
- Should the battle of Adytum happen before completing this quest, an NPC can end up in the doorway to Smitty's shop, barring access to his services and requiring Miles to do the repairs instead.[verification needed]
