| ||For the fire truck in Fallout: New Vegas, see Firetruck.|
The fire truck is a vehicle designed to aid firefighters in putting out fires. This particular model has only been seen in Appalachia.
Compared to firetrucks seen in the Mojave Wasteland and the Divide, the Appalachia fire truck is purpose made, rather than a modified semi trailer truck, and features a sloped front grille, larger cab with front and back seats, as well as a bigger, more streamlined water tank. The vehicle also has two faded blue rotating-beacons as its emergency lights.
- One at Morgantown Airport.
- Many in or around fire departments.
Behind the scenesEdit
The fire truck that appears in Fallout 76 bears a nearly identical resemblance to a 1960s Soviet truck known as the MAZ-7130, specifically the 1977 MAZ-7130 AA-60-160-01 model. These trucks were called transporter erector launchers and were primarily used to ferry ballistic missiles ranging from short-ranged variants (SRBMs) to nuclear-tipped intercontinental versions (ICBMs) equipped with multiple targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs) during the height of the Cold War.
