Behind the scenes[]
- Issue #12 of Taboo Tattoos contains a reference to one of Bethesda's other games, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, with one of the skulls on the magazine wearing the iconic iron helmet usually portrayed on the Dragonborn.
- The monkey design from the cut issue #3 is a reference to the infamous "Aloha Monkey," one of the signatures of famed tattoo artist Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins.
