New Appalachian Railroad Transportation Inc. (abbreviated NAR) was a pre-War transportation company and rail network in Appalachia.

Rail stations[]

Commuter stations consist of one-story buildings and a platform. Stairs from the platform lead to the ground. Inside the stations are information and ticketing terminals alongside Protectron station attendants inside locked rooms with caged windows.

The company's logo can be seen on traincars throughout Appalachia, as well as on cable line and warning signs. Several locations were owned by the company before the war, including trainyards, switching stations, and train repair depots.

Stations[]

Current status[]

Like the rest of the network, the Red Line is currently not in a serviceable condition due to damage to tracks and rolling stock. The trainyard in Watoga is also inoperable due to flooding. Many of the stations have been converted into trading posts by the raiders and Responders. The east entrance into the Big Bend Tunnel became a Brotherhood of Steel checkpoint.

Blue line[]

Sunnytop Station - Pleasant Valley Station - New Appalachian central trainyard - The Whitespring Station - R&G Station

The Blue Line consists of four known stations and one trainyard.

Description[]

The Blue Line runs north to south in the middle of Appalachia, connecting multiple resorts to the system's central trainyard.

Stations[]

Current status[]

Like the rest of the network, the Blue Line is currently not in a serviceable condition due to damage to tracks and rolling stock. The derailed 98 NAR Regional blocks the tracks between Pleasant Valley Station and the central trainyard. Many of the stations have been converted into trading posts by the raiders and Responders, while the Whitespring Station remains staffed by its Protectron vendor.

Known employees[]

Notes[]

  • In some stations, a map with markers can be found which can be used to learn all of the station locations.
