The U-Mine-It! vending machine is a world object in Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
The U-Mine-It! vending machine is an automated vendor that can trade with the player character. It sells single-use mining maps that can be used to locate mining resources. Using a mining map will initiate the Lucky Strike quest to find a dirt pile that can be dug up to receive random metal scrap and other items.
Three different types of maps are sold:
- Miner's map (25 caps)
- Prospector's map (50 caps)
- Excavator's map (75 caps)
Locations[]
The U-Mine-It! vending machines can be found on the exteriors of these locations:
- Kanawha Nuka-Cola plant - Outside of the entrance, with the turret and nuka-cola vending machine, that leads to the building lobby.
- Mount Blair Trainyard - North of the main trainyard, on the side of a small warehouse that houses multiple lockers and toilets.
- Sal's Grinders - North in an alleyway between two buildings, beside a nuka-cola vending machine and an overturned rusty car.
- Red Rocket filling station - Next to a Red Rocket logo, beside a blue semi-truck parked in the warehouse.
- The Rusty Pick - Next to an ice machine and Garrahan Excavator power poster, below The Rusty Pick sign.
- Welch - Beneath a Red Rocket ad on the side of the bakery building.
Notes[]
Each map is shared across all vending machines and can only be bought once every 24 hours.
