Fiber optics is a crafting component in Fallout 4.

Characteristics

Fiber optics are a component used to make various items, including weapon modifications and laser turrets.

With the Contraptions Workshop add-on, they can be used to produce energy weapons on the energy weapon forge.

49 can be obtained in the Jamaica Plain Town Hall basement by disarming a large amount of laser tripwires. The tripwires can be reset by pushing a button in the same room for infinite fiber optics, crystals and steel.
