Fermenters are constructible workshop objects and crafting stations in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wild Appalachia update

Characteristics[]

A fermenter can be used to double the regular speed of the fermentation process,[1] turning an alcoholic beverage from its 'Fermentable' to 'Fresh' version and then subsequently to the 'Vintage' version. A "flash fermenter" which operates faster than a regular fermenter can be found in the back room of the Nukashine inside Big Al's Tattoo Parlor. It is only usable during Wasted on Nukashine.

A single fermenter has 10 slots for aging beverages. Items placed in the fermenter will consume storage space in the player character's stash box.
