Fast Metabolism is a perk in Fallout: New Vegas.

Taking this perk grants a 20% bonus to the amount of health restored when using stimpaks. In Hardcore mode, the multiplier increases the amount of healing done per second, improving stimpaks as an in-combat healing option. In addition, as an unlisted benefit, this perk increases the amount of limb condition restored by doctor's bags in Hardcore mode by 25%.

- The perk synergizes extremely well with the Chemist regular perk, Arcade Gannon's Better Healing companion perk, the Cardiac Arrest special perk
, and a high Medicine skill. - While useful during the early game when stimpaks are harder to come by, outside of Hardcore mode, a mid- to endgame character may be better served by simply applying multiple stimpaks.
