Proposed page list[]

I've pulled all the settlement objects I can find from the search page so we have a full list of pages to review. I know the list is incomplete as just from compiling it it looks very short for what content there is. Is there anything missing from the list which needs its own page? Sakaratte (talk) 18:57, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Minor tweak to make the list easier to go through via contents.Sakaratte (talk) 20:13, January 5, 2017 (UTC)

Categories[]

Is there and reason why [[Category:Automatron Workshop settlement objects]] isn't on the category list? Sakaratte (talk) 19:00, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Just noticed there isn't an Automatron abbreviation either Sakaratte (talk) 19:02, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Automatron abbreviation is FOAUT. Reason Automatron settlement objects page doesn't exist is that no one has set his mind on creating it up till now. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:23, January 3, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the confirmation on that end. I'll get on to creating the objects page in a few minutes. Its only a small one. Sakaratte (talk)

Crafting table template[]

I originally started working on this in Talk:Structure, but I thought I would bring it over to the project to see if it is suitable.

Following feedback from User:SierraX and User:Jspoelstra I've created the following table which should work in effect across most, if not all crafting objects to keep pages consistent. If this is suitable as a whole I am considering if it would be worth separating the sub categories to their own tables so they can be collapsed individually.

Prefabs

Image is way too big, reduce to at least half that size. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:51, January 3, 2017 (UTC)
Reduced it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:52, January 3, 2017 (UTC)
I had originally gone with 50 then wondered if it was too small and bumped it up. I've reduced the column width to 70px so the white space either side doesn't look excessive. Sakaratte (talk) 19:58, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Stores[]

1. Are we having completely individual pages for each tier of the shops? (e.g. a page each for trading stand, trading shop, and trading emporium)

2. There are some things named the same in both the base game and an add-on. What I've been doing is making their own separate pages (e.g. Lightbox (Fallout 4) and Lightbox (Wasteland Workshop)). I don't like that it complicates things, and that the two pages are pretty similar (the Wasteland Workshop lightbox is just a smaller version of the Fallout lightbox) but I think it's necessary for consistency, seeing as putting Nuka-World posters on a Fallout 4 poster page wouldn't technically be correct. Any input?

Anyways, Vault-Tec Workshop added in a bunch of shops named the same as those in the base game. So should they be named "Trading stand (Vault-Tec Workshop)" and then have trading stand moved to "Trading stand (Fallout 4)" or should they just be combined on trading stand? SierraX (talk) 20:29, January 4, 2017 (UTC)

1. I had a look at the stores that already had pages before I started making additional pages. With the extra information I've put in the characteristics section the articles don't look they are abstract fragments. I was going to link through to them from the Trading post article and remove the merge tag so it doesn't get deleted off as it gives a good store overview. They could be compressed down to one article per store group, which would save time in new page generation and clean up, but I am largely for keeping the objects separate.
Are the additional stores in Vault-tec the counter style ones with the neon lettering? I think they were added at the same time of the DLC release, but are part of the base game from checking the creation kit and they don't have the Vault-Tec DLC icon over them in workshop mode in game. Other than appearance the functionality and construction requirements are the same so it would be a lot of duplication to split them off. Sakaratte (talk) 20:49, January 4, 2017 (UTC)
Never mind, they're base game. SierraX (talk) 20:53, January 4, 2017 (UTC)

I've finished creating the store pages now and I'm just linking in the relevant marchant pages. JackiBackiBoy has kindly agreed to do the transparent imaging for them. As they are part of the merchant/trade mechanism should we add them to [[Category:Fallout 4 merchants]] as well? Sakaratte (talk) 19:18, January 7, 2017 (UTC)

Crafting tables[]

When using the crafting table template, I suggest we keep sorting the crafting components alphabetically. The game is not consistent with how the required components are listed in the crafting menu. It allows for a much easier comparison of the crafting costs.

Example:

Materials:Requirements:Produces:
Copper (20)
Gears (12)
Rubber (2)
Screw (10)
Range
Science!: Rank 4
Level
Large generator (1)

rather than

Materials:Requirements:Produces:
Gears (12)
Screw (10)
Copper (20)
Rubber (2)
Range
Level
Fusion generator (1)

I have been using the GECK to pull the crafting requirements for most the objects I have uupdated. Top of my head (it's been a while since I've had a chance to do any editing) that is listed in alapbetical order, at least for the structure objects. I'll try and get on to check through this weekend, but if anyone gets a chance beforehand can they have a look through and check what I've done previously? Alphabetical order does make sense when listing in general to me Sakaratte (talk) 12:41, February 1, 2017 (UTC)

Progress tables[]

I've added in progress tables so its clearer for us to see where we we have completed work and what is left to do.

Not all the information is accurate (I've only checked what is already listed on Fallout 4 settlement objects so far against the wiki) and what is listed is barely the tip of the iceberg. Its probably going to take me a while and I know there will be objects missed (unlockables mostly) when I've finished.

Give me a couple of weeks and I will have it finished, in the meantime any feedback or changes you would like to see? Sakaratte (talk) 02:49, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

Chairs[]

Looking at the chairs in the creation kit they are quite diverse in design and crafting. They feel a single page would suffice, but the article layout standard doesn't really work for it. What I was considering was would using the same design as Mounted creature work in this instance or should we look at another option? Sakaratte (talk) 21:27, March 23, 2017 (UTC)
