This page describes major updates for Fallout 76. With the online nature of the game, what were previously known as add-ons now functions as a series of updates spanning a certain period of time featuring new content. All of this content is free and is incorporated into the game.

Roadmaps[]

From 2019 to 2022, Bethesda Softworks released an annual roadmap of Fallout 76 updates for the year, typically with one major update per season (spring, summer, autumn, winter).

The 2019 roadmap was released on February 21, 2019.^[1]
The 2020 roadmap was released on May 14, 2020.^[2] It was updated in September of that year to reflect changes to the release schedule, seen in the gallery.
The 2021 roadmap was released on March 22, 2021.^[3] It was also updated that September to reflect changes (see gallery).
The 2022 roadmap was released on February 21, 2022.^[4]
No roadmap was released for 2023. No roadmap has yet been released for 2024, either. Since 2023, future updates have mostly been teased through the seasonal community calendars.
