The following roadways were once thoroughfares of their respective regions, seen or mentioned in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[]
There are many roadways found in and around the Mojave Desert, near Zion Canyon, and around the Divide. Several directional street signs specifying location names are found near roadways, created before the Great War. Others denote pre-War speed limits, warnings, or indicate distance. Some signs have worn away over time and are no longer legible, and some have been repurposed to direct travelers to post-War locations. Along roadways crossing pre-War state lines, signs are found marking where one enters a state in both directions.
Where roadways intersect rail lines, pre-War safety precautions can be found, including lights, gates, and warning crossbucks. In addition, some pre-War interstate checkpoint structures still stand, where signage instructing travelers to prepare to stop can be seen. Large elevated billboards are situated on the side of highways and interstates, consisting of advertisements, slogans, and points of interest.
