- In the 1995 Apogee game Rise of the Triad, the Excalibat is an enchanted baseball bat. This weapon could either be swung as a normal baseball bat, or could launch a simultaneous spread of baseballs that explode on impact.
- This weapon's name is likely a reference to Excalibur, the legendary sword of King Arthur.
- Possible reference to the King Aurthur special encounters in Fallout 2.
