Eugene Haugstad was the head supervisor at the Mount Blair Trainyard before the Great War.
Background[]
Eugene had a hardline stance against communism and unions in the workplace. He required all new employees to provide proof of non-communist loyalty and answer a trivia question about trains.[1] He recommended termination for nearly all suspicious employees, with various offenses including complaints about short lunch times,[2] hearsay rumors about communist activity,[3] hazing of new trainees[4] and inappropriate, lewd behavior towards the trains.[5]
