Edgar Clemmon was formerly the director of operations for the Abraxodyne Chemical Complex in Pittsburgh before the Great War.
Background[]
Edgar Clemmon oversaw employees such as Jacob Doyle[1] and company research into various prototypes such as PID 31148, an industrial grade drain cleaner.[2] The drain cleaner was created and sent out on a "trial run" without developing a neutralizer for the product,[3] and its waste byproducts severely corroded the train cars of the Pittsburgh Union Railroad[4] and caused illnesses among at least three railroad employees.[5][6] These incidents strained the relationship between the railroad company and Abraxodyne Chemical, with the yardmaster, Ryan Gilbert, chastising Edgar Clemmon for his "lazy solution."[7]
Eventually, the railroad company refused to transport the byproducts[8][1] and Abraxodyne Chemical was forced to start storing them in their own warehouse.[4][9] However, Clemmon and other company administrators did not properly supply the byproduct neutralizer research team,[10] and plastic waste barrels were used instead of metal barrels to store the harmful byproducts despite their tendency to leak and cause a reaction that could devastate entire city blocks.[11] Edgar encouraged repairing any leaking plastic barrels with adhesive tape and WonderGlue, citing "financial circumstances out of our control."[12] Eventually, the company began illegally dumping the waste under Edgar's orders, but he was caught and fired for it.[13]
Appearances[]
Edgar Clemmon is mentioned only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: The Pitt update.
