Dustin is a deceased member of the Blood Eagles whose skeleton is found at Old Crimora Mines in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.

Background[]

Dustin was a member of a band of raiders that also included Eliza, Hunter and Patrick. While in the Skyline Valley region for a "pick-up job," the group was attacked by a group of cultists from the Cult of the Mothman. While other members of the group fled, the aforementioned four, including Dustin, were taken to Old Crimora Mines.[1]

Although Dustin and some of the other prisoners (aside from Patrick) were kept alive, apparently for the purposes of a Mothman ritual, Dustin and the others were tortured in horrific fashion, from being burnt to being flayed alive. However, the ghoul leader known as Alex Guerra was different, as Alex snuck the prisoners "scraps" when the other cultists were not around.[1] Unbeknownst to them, Alex's position as a prophet and leader of the group was a front in order to control the cultists as an army to use against Hugo Stolz.[2]

Dustin was not kept alive as the cultists' prisoner forever. At some point, he was taken out of his cell and killed in brutal fashion, as his bloodied skeleton is horribly mutilated, albeit with some meat still on the bone. A bowie knife can still be found next to his body on a walkway in the mines.

Notes[]

  • Dustin's skeleton is one of two unique movable static objects at Old Crimora Mines, alongside the skeleton of Sunny.
  • There is a beheaded corpse that is a static object, found across from Hunter's body in the prison area of the mine. Although both Hunter and Dustin are said to be part of the captured Blood Eagle group in the prisoner's note, the unique object representing Dustin is actually the bloodied skeleton on the path leading to the final room holding the ritual bonfire. It is not known who the beheaded corpse is.

Appearances[]

Dustin's skeleton appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.
