Dorchester Heights is an unmarked location in the Commonwealth.

BackgroundEdit

Dorchester Heights is the central area of South Boston, with a monument dating back to 1902 commemorating the resolution of the siege of Boston in 1776. In March of that year, the Continental Army soldiers managed to fortify the heights without drawing the attention of the British forces stationed in Boston.

With prefabricated fortifications and artillery placed on the heights, the British had to either chance taking the entrenched position of the Continental Army or to withdraw. General Howe, commanding officer of the British, decided against an assault.

LayoutEdit

The square is an elevated plateau reinforced with masonry on the slopes, surrounding the monument. The dense Bostonian architecture extends around the square, with an adjacent raider camp at the South Boston High School.

AppearancesEdit

Dorchester Heights appears only in Fallout 4.

Behind the scenesEdit

Dorchester Heights is based on the real world location of Dorchester Heights, a central area of South Boston, adjacent to the real world South Boston High School.
