Description[]
The Doctor skill can heal crippled limbs or replenish hit points with successful use. The skill can only be used successfully three times in 24 hours; however, failed uses do not count toward this limit, drastically increasing the value of this skill. In Fallout, where one is on a time limit for the start of the game, some use of this skill can save time versus Waiting.
Despite what it states, crippled limbs do not heal on their own, only with this skill or visiting a doctor and paying for the service. As long as one has full health, one can make unlimited tries with the Doctor skill until the limb/eye is healed.
In addition to healing crippled limbs, the Doctor skill also heals 4-10 hit points per successful use and can be used even when one couldn't wait due to enemy proximity. The amount of healing can be increased by the Healer perk, with 2-5 extra (Fallout) or 4-10 extra (Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics).
The main use of this skill is to allow access to the Living Anatomy perk (requires 60% Doctor), especially if one is an unarmed character. A Doctor skill of 76% is also required to access the Vault City medical terminals and learn about the combat implants, as well as for a number of quests.

- The Good Natured trait adds 15% to this skill.
