Dirty Laundry is a side quest in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update. It is started automatically by entering the city of Athens, or by picking up a case of Abraxodyne intel for the first time.
Quick walkthrough[]
- Find one piece of Abraxodyne intel or enter Athens.
- Speak to Bodhi, who will ask the player character to collect Abraxodyne intel.
- Collect Abraxodyne intel throughout Burning Springs. Return them to Bodhi at each interval, with Abraxodyne tapes being unlocked and other items being awarded along the way.
- Although there are around 150 briefcases placed in Burning Springs, only 76 require collection to progress the quest.
- Abraxodyne caches will be discovered as part of optional objectives throughout the quest's progression. (25 intel: Albany, 47 intel: Fort Steuben, 71 intel: Dino Peaks Mini Golf). These caches contain various items, as well as three additional intel each; the intel from the caches count toward the quest progression, but not challenge progression.
- After the 76th intel, the information learned from the intel will direct the player to the executive's apartment in Athens.
- Talk to the Exec, and choose to either kill or spare him.
- Return to Bodhi to complete the quest.

Rewards[]
Quest completion[]
- Plan: Abraxodyne truck
- 1600 Experience Points
- 150 caps
- Random aid item
- Random ammunition
- Random weapon
- Random armor
- Random common plan
In addition to the above listed rewards, increasing amounts of caps and XP are awarded at each interval where a new Abraxodyne tape is unlocked. These interval rewards add up to 4500 XP and 1400 caps; with the quest completion rewards factored, this totals to 6100 XP and 1550 caps overall granted by the quest itself. On top of this, collecting individual intel cases rewards 10 XP by itself, independent of the quest. Collecting an Abraxodyne cache as part of the quest's optional objective rewards 50 XP, and there are three caches.
Intel collection[]
- 1 intel: Abraxodyne briefcase crafting (CAMP object)
- 3 intel: Abraxodyne cache stash box variant (CAMP object)
- 25 intel: Super Duper Mart cooler (CAMP object, decorative only)
- 50 intel: Abraxodyne overalls outfit (apparel)
- 76 intel: Meadow Breeze Sprayer (weapon)
- 90 intel: Super Duper Mart store shelf (CAMP object, decorative only)
- 110 intel: Abraxo HQ wall sign (CAMP object)
- 130 intel: Rusted Abraxodyne sign (CAMP object)
- 145 intel: Prototype ABX03 (weapon)
As previously stated, only 76 intel are required to be acquired for the purposes of this quest. However, the player can continue the search for Abraxodyne intel and continue to collect rewards (via the challenges system) independent of Dirty Laundry.

Behind the scenes[]
The name of this quest is tied to Abraxodyne Chemical's status as a detergent company, while the phrase "dirty laundry" can more broadly refer to often unpleasant or unflattering rumors, as in "airing dirty laundry in public," meaning to publicly disclose private problems.
