“A diamond tipped spear which offers great penetration.”
The diamond spear is a throwing and melee weapon in Fallout Tactics.
Characteristics
This spear has a diamond embedded in the tip, this allows for better durability and penetration, making it the most reliable strong spear, damage-wise. This spear can be used for standard melee attacks or thrown for a ranged offensive with the potential for a significant damage increase.

Behind the scenes
Diamonds are considered the toughest mineral to be discovered and have been used to reinforce tools (such as drills) in the real world too.
However, the hardness rating of a diamond refers to how resistant it is to scratching and not its ability to withstand impact (or any other kinds of) forces. A hammer can easily crush a diamond, making the logic behind this weapon questionable.
