A dialogue file is a file which contains in-game messages related to scripts and items or the dialogue of a non-player character in a given game. Dialogue files are considered source texts since most of them contain the exact dialogue of characters encountered in the respective games.
In the Fallout series, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and the canceled Van Buren use dialogue files. Fallout Tactics does not use dialogue files in the strict sense but certain text files are similar and have the same function. Likewise, certain game files in Fallout and Fallout 2 are included here.
