Demolition Expert is a Perception perk in Fallout 4.
Effects[]
Taking ranks of this perk increases damage caused by explosives. Higher ranks grant a throwing arc projected by holding down the action button to better plan where thrown explosives, an increase to the area of effect, and the ability to shoot both thrown and placed explosives to cause double damage in V.A.T.S..

The perk affects most thrown grenades, mines, explosive weapons and weapons with the Explosive legendary effect. However, it only affects the primary damage type of a weapon. For example, a grenade that deals two types of damage only has its primary damage increased. This also means the perk does not affect the damage of pulse mines and pulse grenades, as they only deal secondary energy damage.

Crafting[]
The perk is also a requirement in order to craft certain types of explosives, as well as the Nuka-World armor modification "Dense" and the explosives mill from the Contraptions Workshop add-on.

- With rank 2, the "gain a throwing arc" effect presents as a green trail similar to what's made by the VANS perk but more solid, used to indicate a grenade's trajectory and initial landing point, though if thrown against a wall or ceiling, especially with baseball grenades, it will bounce and end up elsewhere than the guided landing point.
- Taking rank 3 increases the explosion radius by 25%.
- This perk does not affect the Explosive Vent Power Armor mods.
