Demise of the Machines is a kill challenge in Fallout: New Vegas.
Requirements[]
“Kill Robot enemies.”— Challenge description
The Courier must kill 50 robot-type enemies per challenge rank, for a total of 150 at all 3 ranks.

Completing each rank of this challenge grants 50 XP and a rank of the Machine Head perk:
- +3% damage against robots
- +6% damage against robots
- +10% damage against robots
Notes[]
- This challenge will appear in the Pip-Boy's menu after completing Ain't That a Kick in the Head and killing at least one robot enemy.
- The robots at New Vegas Steel and in the Y-17 medical facility
re-spawn every 3-4 game days. - As long as one does not complete Wild Card: Change in Management, Yes Man's ability to respawn in a "new" Securitron chassis after being killed can be exploited to fulfill the challenge.
Behind the scenes[]
The challenge name is a reference to the Terminator science-fiction franchise, specifically the 2003 film installment Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
