Deathclaw mothers are creatures found in the Mojave Wasteland.

Characteristics

Main article: Mother deathclaw

Matriarchs of the deathclaw broods, mother Deathclaws are bigger, stronger, and more easily angered than your run-of-the-mill Deathclaw, seconded only by the Legendary deathclaw and tied with the deathclaw alpha. They usually travel dark areas near their pups or eggs, and are more than eager to tear apart pretty much anything that the Wasteland throws at their babies.

Behind the scenes

The Deathclaw mothers appearance is strikingly similar to the creature in the 1998 American film "Godzilla"

Tactics

• From a safe distance, it can be seen that the Deathclaw Mother is always closely followed by Baby Deathclaws, killing them (Deathclaw Babies) WILL in fact, send the Deathclaw Mother into a rage, attacking any nearby foe or friend alike.

Bugs

• Playstation 3 When in V.A.T.S., targeting the Deathclaw Mothers' head actually highlights only the neck.
