David R. McKenzie is a developer who worked at Bethesda Softworks on Fallout 76 as a level designer.

Career[]

Work on the Fallout series[]

After being hired to work on Fallout 76, McKenzie contributed to various gameplay systems.[1] As a level designer on the development team, McKenzie served in that role by working on several locations, including but not limited to, Flatwoods, Morgantown and the West Tek research center.[2] McKenzie also wrote many holotapes, notes and terminal entries for the locations he worked on as a level designer, including, but not limited to the following, in the original release of the game:[2]

For the Wastelanders update, McKenzie worked on content relating to the Motherlode.[2] McKenzie left the development and thus ceased work on Fallout 76 in February 2020, shortly prior to the release of Wastelanders.[1]

Other work[]

Since leaving work on Fallout 76, McKenzie has gone on to work as a designer on games such as New World and its various expansions at Amazon Games.
